Easter can be such a busy event with church and family expectations. It doesn't take much for us to lose sight of the fact that we are celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
That is why I put together this article.
7 Reasons to be Thankful for the Resurrection
As a follower of Jesus, the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of our faith. It is the event that sets Christianity apart from all other religions and gives us hope for eternal life. Here are seven reasons why Christians should celebrate the resurrection:

The resurrection of Jesus affirms Jesus’ claims of divinity. Jesus claimed to be the Son of God, and the resurrection proves that his claims were true. Romans 1:4 states that Jesus was “declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead.” If Jesus had not risen from the dead, his claims of divinity would have been false, and Christianity would be a lie.

The resurrection of Jesus proves the effectiveness of Jesus’ sacrifice. The resurrection demonstrates that Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross was sufficient to pay for the sins of the world. If Jesus had not risen from the dead, his sacrifice would have been incomplete, and we would still be in our sins. But because he rose from the dead, we can be confident that our sins are forgiven and that we have eternal life.

In 1 Corinthians 15:20-22, Paul writes, “But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.” The resurrection gives us hope that death is not the end, but a transition to eternal life with God.

In Ephesians 1:19-20, Paul writes, “and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places.” The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is available to us through the Holy Spirit, enabling us to live for Christ and to proclaim his message with boldness.
